Forerunner 3
A web-based 3D visualization platform, the "Google Earth" for satellites: it renders every object from low Earth orbit to geostationary against live Google Earth terrain, accurate and fast on phone and desktop alike.
Built by HarrisXR LLC in collaboration with Space Interactions Inc. My brother and I lead the development: a fast-tracked, AI-augmented rebuild that migrated a pure WebGL 2.0 renderer onto modern BabylonJS and TypeScript. I own the architecture, UI, and design direction while driving much of the implementation through Claude Code and Codex, marshalling both to ship in weeks what would traditionally take months. The result holds proper SGP4 propagation and real geopositioning accuracy while rendering 30,000+ tracked objects at a smooth clip on mid-range phones.
Forerunner 3 is built and maintained by HarrisXR LLC in collaboration with Space Interactions Inc. My brother and I took on the build ourselves to help get the platform off the ground: he leads the engine and systems code as senior developer, while I own the architecture, UI, design, and project direction.
The rebuild was fast-tracked with AI as a genuine collaborator, not a shortcut. We shepherded Claude Code and Codex together across the codebase, migrating a pure WebGL 2.0 renderer onto BabylonJS and TypeScript and modernizing it in weeks rather than months, with everything tuned for clarity under heavy live data.
The goal is to be the definitive place to see where things are in orbit: the "Google Earth" for satellites. It renders 30,000+ tracked objects at 30+ fps on mid-range phones, holds proper SGP4 propagation and real geopositioning accuracy, and feels at home on both phone and desktop. Satellite catalogs are drawn from Space-Track.org and Jonathan's Space Report, layered over live Google Earth terrain.
